Juan Soto’s rookie cards have been heating up. Everyone wants to buy his rookie card because they think he may be the next Mike Trout. He already has a World Series Ring and he was one of the leading hitters for the Washington Nationals. In 313 he has 69 home runs, .295 BA, .415 OBP. He is not the WAR stat machine Mike Trout is but he is an amazing hitter with some flair to boot.
I am writing to show you cards that don’t get as much love as his tried and true cards. These cards have a low PSA population and in some instances are a cheaper option to buy. I also feel that these, long-term, will grow as well. One of the biggest ways to get the most value is buying ungraded (raw) cards sending them into a grading company where their value can increase immensely. Don’t know what to look for? Take a look at the video below.
Now you don’t have to buy raw cards. You can skip all of that and just buy the graded cards that you want. So in no particular order here are my Top 5 Undervalued Juan Soto baseball cards.
2018 Topps Heritage Chrome Juan Soto
These cards are to /999 and have a low PSA population compared to other Topps products. I love shiny cards and so do a lot of collectors. After flagship and chrome, Heritage is the set that is popular and people go after people buy. You can buy them ungraded, check for centering, or just buy a PSA 10.
2018 Bowman’s Best Atomic Refractor
At the time of this writing, there are less than 100 PSA 10 of these. These cards look amazing and are shiny. Shiny sells. His Bowman’s Best rookie card continues to sell well. This has great eye appeal, a good following, and low supply. 3 great things to see in an investment.
2018 Panini Prizm Chronicles Select
Panini doesn’t have a license so these cards don’t have a team logo on the card. But these cards are gaining in popularity in the baseball card world. The card themselves are thick, shiny, and look amazing. The holo, or silvers as they might be referred to as well, are rarer than the base card. Just like in basketball the holo’s are the cards that people will always go after.
2018 Panini Prizm Silver
Just like Chronicles Select, these cards don’t have a logo on them because they are made by Panini. But yet again, these cards are beautifully made and have a growing following in the baseball card world. The “prizm” on the PSA label is similar to the Holo/Silver from Select.
2017 Bowman Chrome Draft Refractor BDC-162
This is his 2nd year Bowman card. It doesn’t have the price tag that his 1st Bowman Card has, but you can buy the ungraded (raw) version of the card and then get it graded. If you have a good eye and know what to look for you can definitely find some good profit. Don’t know what to look for when grading a card? Check out my video below on what to look for.
